A UK leisure travel business had ambitious growth targets but a strategy that wasn't landing. Following the appointment of a new senior leadership team, the organisation recognised that its existing strategy lacked clarity, was inconsistently understood across the business, and was not driving the day-to-day behaviours needed to hit its commercial goals.
Without a strategy that teams could own and act on, the risk was clear: continued misalignment, wasted effort, and missed targets. The business needed a strategy that was fit for purpose and could be embedded across the organisation quickly and consistently.

We delivered the engagement across three phases:
Align
Ran one-to-one interviews with team leaders across the business to assess what was and wasn't working in the existing strategy
Benchmarked the client's strategic direction against global and local competitors and adjacent markets to identify best practice in strategy design and execution
Refine
Facilitated targeted workshops with business leaders to validate findings, agree priorities, and shape changes to the strategy
Delivered a revised strategy with multiple vision and mission options and a set of strategic pillars that better reflected the views of both staff and leadership
Activate
Worked with selected team members to define the communication channels and materials needed to embed the strategy on an ongoing basis
Defined a set of prioritised strategic initiatives, titled Value Creation Plans, to address the barriers identified and accelerate delivery against the revised strategy

Delivered a redesigned business strategy that was clearer, more concise, and more accurately reflected the purpose and identity of the organisation
Produced a prioritised set of Value Creation Plans covering project delivery, brand identity, people management, and technology and data capability
Gave leadership a practical activation plan to align teams and improve execution against revised commercial targets
